George M. Ross

	George M. Ross

George M. Ross is an Advisory Director of Goldman Sachs & Company. He was the resident partner of the Philadelphia office from 1976 through 1991 and helped form and was national head of the Fixed Income Division in New York from 1973 to 1975. He joined Goldman Sachs in 1959 and was made a Partner in 1971.

George is Co-Chair of the Board of Trustees for the National Museum of American Jewish History and is Chairman of the Capital Campaign. He serves on the Board of Directors for the Philadelphia Orchestra and is a member of the Development Committee. George is past Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Drexel University. He is Director Emeritus of the Greater Philadelphia Chamber of Commerce and a member of the Finance Committee. He is the past Chairman of the American Jewish Committee and currently serves as a member of the Philadelphia Chapter’s Board.

George is an incorporator and a member of the Kimmel Center for Performing Arts, serves as the Treasurer, is Chairman of the Nominating & Governance Committee and is a member of the Executive and Finance Committees. He serves on the Board for The Washington Institute. He is the former Chairman of the Leadership Council of the Campaign for Mentors in Philadelphia. He is a past member of advisory board for the University of Pennsylvania’s Cancer Center and previously a Vice President and Board member of the Jewish Federation of Greater Philadelphia.

George received a BS and Doctor of Humane Letters from Drexel University
